Is Google Blowing Up the Blog-o-Sphere? (And how to make sure you survive)

I have no time to write this, but with several long-time music sites getting shut down by Google because of terms violations (focusing on supposed MP3 posting viloations with this comment) regardless of whether or not the site in question have approval to post MP3s reminds us all a couple of things:

A) BACK YOUR SITE (computers) UP (X3)! Take my advice – My deejay career ended when the hard-drive crashed on my previous laptop. Even after an attempted seek-and-rescue job was partially successful by a friend in IT; my back-up external drive to which all that data had been saved crashed.

B) Leave Google. I finally switched to WordPress (although I’m curious if my site outage two weeks ago was from a similar issue) some months ago – but wither it be Tumblr or one of the other sites … let this be a word of warning to everyone.

C) Buy music the old-fashion way – ON PHYSICAL MEDIA. There is a reason I DO NOT buy MP3s. If it is electronically based – it will crash or die. When you have the record or CD; you alway have the original back up.

Now back to work.

It's very calm over here, why not leave a comment?
