New Feature: Don’t Fear The Fiddle!
Bluegrass goes back to its roots … in Los Angeles! LA band Rose’s Pawn Shop draws on all kinds of influences to make some seriously catchy music. Named after the pawn shop where an ex-girlfriend sold all of the band’s equipment, the band has created a sound with real cross-over appeal, but don’t let the country radio fiddle scare you off, this stuff rocks, the harmonies on the title track to their second album Dancing On The Gallows should be convincing enough, check out both albums on iTunes.

Rose’s Pawn Shop – “Long Way To Fall”

New Feature: NERRRRRRRRRRRRDDDSSSS!
Seattle’s self-proclaimed nerd rockers Kirby Krackle have just returned from the nerd Mecca that is the San Diego Comic-Con promoting their new album E For Everyone. Since sex and drugs are already well documented in music the boys have made their mark singing about less appreciated subject matter like comic books, movies, and video games. So even if you’re not cool enough to get references to Kirby krackle and the Great Lakes Avengers there is a lot to like from these very clever rockers, check out the player on their site and iTunes as well as the acoustic track below…

Kirby Krackle – “Great Lakes Avengers” (live)

It's very calm over here, why not leave a comment?
