I say this in the most complimentary fashion, if you close your eyes, you’ll be transported to a place that seems like 1993 but only more low-key and friendly. Both tracks were slung live, so you get that authentic, lo-fi dance feel that’s been missing for too many years.
If you are in the New York/Brooklyn area, take the opportunity to catch Free Magic in action. I had the pleasure of spinning with him in 2010 and he’s one of the best, low-key, yet high-energy deejays with whom I’ve shared a table.
