England in 1819

England In 1819 released the official video for “Waterfall” this past Spring, but I’m just now giving it a listen/watch. It has a bit of a chamber indie-pop sound; but it also reminds me of some of the better crescendos Ride created. Watching the video in this post.

The Baton Rouge-based band features three family members – two brothers (Dan and Andrew Callaway) and their father (Liam Callaway). The unlikely combination of musicians – at least in terms of typical band member make-up – released their album, Alma, earlier this year.

Formed in 2008, the band’s sound makes sense when learning that the family has roots in both Athens, Ga., as well as England. England In 1819 has been on tour most of this Spring and will continue to tour throughout the Summer.
