Amanda Palmer & The Grand Theft Orchestra - Polly

Amanda Palmer & The Grand Theft Orchestra have released the official video for their cover of Nirvana’s “Polly” which was originally available via Spin Magazine as part of their Nirvana tribute issue.

The video is based on Kurt Cobain’s purported inspiration for the song, a newspaper article outlined the abduction and torture of a young girl.

Twerps

From their self-titled LP that came out in October 2011, Twerps have released a video for “Through The Day”. The band also confirmed tour dates throughout the Spring of 2012, most of which are with Real Estate. The band will also join Girls and Ducktails for single-show support.

Colin Scott Reynolds is probably my favorite, little-known, singer-songwriter. Performing as I Low, the Brooklyn-based artist’s song “I Hate Feeling Like This” made my list of favorite songs of 2011.
