Deer Tick will be playing Brooklyn Bowl, in Brooklyn, NY, this New Years Eve with J Roddy Walston and the Business, Dead Confederate and Virgin Forest.

Guards has announced a Fall 2011 tour supporting Deer Tick throughout North America. Guards is the project of Richie James Follin, who released four albums with Willowz and is also the guitar player in Cults. Complete tour dates below.

And you thought you had a busy summer.

From a musical perspective, the band’s album crossed country, folk and rock to appeal to a fan base who cherished whiskey and dirt and a lack of pretentiousness in their music. Much like Lucero did in there early days, Deer Tick became the band people who didn’t listen to ” that kind of music” listened to – and loved.
