Steve Schiltz of Hurricane Bells

Fresh off the success of the most recent ‘Twilight’ movie, Hurricane Bells, has announced a headlining Spring 2010 and the release of their debut album, Tonight Is The Ghost.

Prior to their headlining dates, the band – formerly the side-project of Longwave’s Steve Schiltz – will perform acoustic sets as a duo Ashen Keilyn (Scout) while opening for Blue October.

Steve Schiltz of Hurricane Bells

Hurricane Bells, the latest project of Steve Schiltz, singer and guitarist of Longwave, has announced US Tour date after completion of a tour of India. Photos of the band’s India trip can be found on their Facebook page.

Upon arriving back in the States, the band will perform a February 17 show in Brooklyn. After several performances at SXSW, Hurricane Bells will kick off their Spring 2010 tour in Atlanta.

Hurricane Bells

In catching up on site stuff, I was going through e-mails when I came upon the video for Hurricane Bells’ “This Year”. Hello, Hurricane Bells. Perfect song for this rainy Tuesday night.

Hurricane Bells is Steve Schiltz from Longwave (singer/guitarist). He wrote and recorded his debut album Tonight is the Ghost with plans to self-releasing it. When a b-side from the album, “Monsters,” got picked up on the indie-friendly “Twilight/New Moon” movie soundtrack his personal basement project, Hurricane Bells, became much larger.

After signing with Vagrant, Hurricane Bells’ debut album, Tonight Is The Ghost, was released digitally last week.
