Devon Clifford, the drummer for the Canadian dance-punk band You Say Party! We Say Die!, passed away this morning after suffering a massive brain hemorrhage last night during the band’s performance in Vancouver. He was 30 years old.

The Memphis Commercial Appeal reported early today that Alex Chilton, best know for his work in Big Star, has died of an apparent heart attack. He was 59.

TMZ.com reported this morning that actor Corey Haim died of an apparent overdose last night. The troubled, former child star, battled drug addictions for most of his adult life. He was 38.
Awoke this morning to the news that Mark Linkous of Sparklehorse had passed. According to numerous reports it was an apparent suicide. The Virginia-born artist’s official age has yet to be released but he was believed to be in his mid-40s.
Another sad loss of an immensely talented musician.

A shocking announcement earlier today with the passing of Memphis garage-rock star Jay Reatard. He was 29.
According to the Memphis Commercial Appeal he was found at 3:30am this morning in his home. Initial reports were that he died in his sleep.
