Event Review: Big Top Crimewatch (11.17.06)

It was an evening of debauched rock, free smut and clown cops. Holy balloon animals!

The big event of the night was the screening of a movie I starred in called “Clown Porn Crimewatch”. Porn enthusiasts dressed up for the event in either clown or cop attire.

Some friends of mine from San Diego, who also appeared in the movie, came to check out the festivities. I have to say that it’s always kind of awkward screening a porn in front of a bar audience but, then again, this is not your typical porn.

After the screening I enjoyed several beers and chatted with some of the ultra perverse crowd. There were quite a number of bands playing the event - most of whom I had never heard of before. Among the bands that performed were: Wilson Gil and the Willful Sinners, Tell Tale Heartbreakers, Rocketqueens, Snatch and the Fingers and Dave the Pastor and His Hobos and Tramps.

All of the bands sounded great, or maybe the beer had convinced me that it was so.

A clown burlesque group was also apart of the festivities and in between each performance, the MC’s of the evening, Editrixabby and Fudgie Frottage, were throwing out an obnoxious amount of porno to the sex-starved crowd.

It still amazes me how exited people are to receive free porn.

At 2AM the lights went up and the show was almost over. I decided that it was time to leave when a waitress began to harass me with a tray full of Twinkies.

It was a really great time and I hope they do it again next year.
